I’ve been working lately with Northwick Academy assisting Wolverhampton Wanderers FC with choosing and installing some new fitness equipment for their training ground gym. With our guidance they selected some Spirit CB900 Spinbikes to replace their aging fleet of Schwinns, a brand new Wattbike Pro, and some state-of-the-art Cybex Arc Trainers. Northwick Academy played an important role and it was great to have the opportunity to work with Wolves backroom staff especially Phil Hayward MCSP MMACP Head of Medical Department.
The purpose of Northwick Academy is to promote best-practise in choosing, owning, using and maintaining all types of fitness equipment in order to deliver the most benefit such as:-
§ Maximising return on investment
§ Achieving specific targets (eg. weight loss or fitness goals)
§ Improving efficiency of time spent working out
§ Reducing cost of ownership
§ Extending effective life of equipment
§ Eliminating breakdowns
§ Retaining motivation to exercise
By using the Academy’s resident experts we were able to help Wolves with all aspects of choosing, buying, owning, using and maintaining their gym equipment. In addition to Engineers, we have level 3 gym instructors, personal trainers, experts in nutrition and diet, and specialists in sports injuries and physiotherapy. Northwick Academy also enables customers to get face-to-face with both our experts and with the equipment. Our workshop facility at Pershore provides the ideal training ground for the technical and maintenance requirements whilst our gym in Worcester provides the perfect environment for instruction in the correct use of equipment. Our gym also houses a treatment room for one-to-one support and advice in a range of subjects including general wellbeing, diet, nutrition, sports injuries and physiotherapy.
As was the case with Wolves, the Academy staff are also able to make site visits to provide one-to-one expertise and advice as necessary.
Northwick Academy is open to all customers and is accessible online and via our Engineers. It offers a wealth of advice, experience and expertise to help you make the most of your equipment.
